International Wood Products Journal
International Wood Products Journal (formerly The Journal of the Institute of Wood Science) publishes peer reviewed contributions on all aspects of wood science, engineering and technology, its processing and applications. The submission of original research papers, reviews and case studies is welcomed on any topic within this scope.
IOM3 members have free online access to this journal. Please note you must be logged in to this site to access this page.
Non-members can see the current issue of this journal plus a list of all issues and further information on the Taylor & Francis site. A limited number of papers are available for free view. Other papers can be purchased online.
This journal is published by Taylor and Francis on behalf of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
From March 1958 until early 2009, the Institute of Wood Science Journal was published in-house. The unfortunate result of this is that researchers cannot do on-line searches for papers in those journals. To correct this problem IOM3 has begun the process of digitising this content. The preliminary catalogue is complete and can be downloaded as an Excel file from which you can search for keywords. Individual copies of papers can of course be ordered through the IoOM3 library services.
Gervais Sawyer (Editor of IWPJ) adds that there are many papers that are of great general interest that should satisfy any natural curiosity. Furthermore, the quality of some research is remarkable in that it was before the computer age. Where would you find a technician just now who could take micrographs (film, not digital) under UV microscopy?
