Student membership is open to students following an approved course of study (at undergraduate or postgraduate level), leading to admission at a higher grade of membership. Proof of study is needed from the university or college.

Student Starpack Awards

A wide range of prizes are available in the student class of our long-established Starpack packaging design awards, from expenses-paid work experience and trips abroad to substantial cash sums and trophies.

Entries for Student Starpack are received from students on a wide range of courses, some with a graphics emphasis and others concerned with structural/product design, as well as those from a materials/technology courses. 

IOM3-Horners Design Innovation in Plastics

The theme for the 2007 competition was ‘Secure Design’.

Young Persons' Lecture Competition

An annual competition for students and researchers, held in regional heats organised by the Institute’s local groups and affiliated societies.
