About this course
This course has been developed by the Joint Advisory Board and is designed for operators of quarries to understand and manage environmental issues on a day-today basis.
This course will:
Provide an overview of environmental sustainability and understand best practice
Give specific information on key issues including energy, waste, site management, biodiversity and pollution issues
Understand some of the main compliance issues associated with the environmental impacts of quarries
Present practical guidance to help you incorporate this knowledge into your team onsite and support your colleagues
There are 5 principal parts to the course:
1. Quarries and environmental legal issues
2. Preventing pollution
3. Resource efficiency – energy, waste and water
4. Site management – wildlife and trespassers
5. Practical activity
This one day course can be allocated 7 hours CPD for your submission.
