Frederick Cooke worked on the technology of plastics for over 50 years. He was widely known for his work on processing machinery, particularly in injection moulding and extrusion.
Dr Alfred James Kennedy qualified with a degree in physics but made many distinguished scientific and technological contributions to metallurgy, many of them in an engineering oriented context.
